I purchased a 2007 GM vehicle
in March. Is my new vehicle eligible?
Yes. If you already purchased a 2007
GM vehicle, your new vehicle is
automatically covered under our
100,000-Mile/5-year Powertrain Limited
Warranty** at no extra cost. You will
receive an updated warranty booklet
insert for your glove box literature
in the next several weeks.
I have a 2006 GM vehicle with
the exact same vehicle/powertrain as
the 2007. Why isn't my vehicle
eligible?
Unfortunately, the new extended
powertrain warranty is available as a
new feature on 2007 models only.
However, you may want to contact your
GM dealer to discuss the many GMPP
products that can be tailored to
include only the powertrain
components.
When will I receive updated
documentation to prove that I have the
new powertrain warranty coverage on my
2007 GM vehicle?
A warranty booklet supplement to your
glove box literature will be mailed to
you in the next several weeks.
I purchased a GMPP extended
warranty prior to the announcement of
GM extending coverage and want my
money back. How do I apply for
reimbursement?
Because you have also purchased a GM
Protection Plan Vehicle Service
Contract, our GM Protection Plan team
will be contacting you by mail shortly
with additional details on how the new
GM 100,000-Mile/5-year Limited
Warranty impacts your GM Protection
Plan Contract.
Do I have to take my vehicle
to a GM dealer for maintenance to
maintain my extended powertrain
eligibility?
GM dealer/retailers have the
specialized training and GM genuine
parts and accessories to ensure your
vehicle is repaired and maintained
properly. Although you are not
required to have your vehicle serviced
at a GM deal/retailership, we highly
recommend that you do. In addition, we
encourage you to keep detailed records
and receipts of your maintenance
history.
Does the required Maintenance
of my vehicle change as a result of
this new powertrain limited warranty?
As a vehicle owner, you are
responsible for the performance of the
scheduled maintenance listed in your
Owners Manual. Your owners manual
provides a detailed maintenance
schedule that you should follow for
your specific vehicle and driving
habits. In addition, we strongly
encourage you to keep detailed records
and receipts of your maintenance
history.
Can I purchase this extra
powertrain coverage for my 2006 (and
prior) vehicle
You may be eligible to choose from one
of our GMPP offerings which can be
tailored to meet your needs -
including extended powertrain
coverage. Please contact your selling
dealer/retailership for details on the
various GM Protection Plan programs.
Why are Goodwrench®-trained
technicians so important?
From changing oil to changing engines,
these automotive experts use only

performance and reliability. So no
matter what kind of GM vehicle you
