The antilock brake system (ABS) is a crash avoidance feature that helps prevent wheel lockup during braking in most slippery road conditions.

DIC (Driver Information Center)

This feature helps keep you up to date on numerous features of Colorado, including low fuel, fuel range, low oil pressure and door ajar.

Head-Curtain Side-Impact Air Bags

Mounted to the roof rail, head-curtain side-impact air bags(1) are designed to reduce the risk of head and neck injuries to front- and outboard rear-seat occupants on the near side of certain side-impact collisions.

Dual-Stage Frontal Air Bags with Passenger Sensing System

Driver and right-front passenger dual-stage front air bags(1) are designed to supplement the safety belt system in the event of a frontal collision. They sense the severity of a crash, determine if the air bags should be deployed, and whether a full or less-than-full amount of inflation will be used.
The Passenger Sensing System automatically switches the right-front passenger air bag off based on the passenger's weight and the type of pressure put on the seat.

OnStar

OnStar(2) with a one-year Safe & Sound Plan provides you with 24-hour access to helpful Advisors who can assist in a variety of situations.

Vehicle Diagnostics checks some of your vehicle’s key systems, such as your engine, air bags and antilock brakes, while you drive. You’ll receive an automatic email report once a month that includes your current mileage, remaining oil life, maintenance alerts and more.

And new Turn-by-Turn Navigation(3), included with the available Directions & Connections Plan, gives you simple, step-by-step voice-guided instructions on how to get to your next destination. Push the OnStar button, and you’ll never have to stop and ask for directions.

With Advanced Automatic Crash Notification (AACN), an OnStar Advisor will attempt to contact you, inquiring whether or not you need assistance. If you’re unable to answer, the Advisor will contact a nearby emergency services provider who will dispatch help to your determined location.

Traction Control

Available on 2WD models, the Traction Control system utilizes electronic controls to help reduce rear-wheel spin when you're driving on most slippery surfaces.
