Antilock Brake System

The antilock brake system (ABS) is designed to help you maintain steering control of your vehicle by preventing wheel lockup, even during hard braking maneuvers. Standard on all Express models.

StabiliTrak

The StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control System helps improve stability, particularly on slick surfaces and during emergency maneuvers. Here’s how it works:
  • A control module compares your steering input with the van’s actual steering arc and then, if necessary, makes quick, individual brake applications to enhance control and keep the driver on track.
  • StabiliTrak automatically intervenes when it senses wheel slippage, understeer (plowing), or oversteer (fishtailing) by applying brake pressure and, if necessary, adjusting engine torque to help the driver get the vehicle back on track.

Standard and available on 3500 and 3500 EXT Passenger Vans only.
