deployment consists of a dual-stage driver's front
air bag and a dual-stage front passenger air bag
with passenger occupant detection system,
roof-mounted head curtain side air bags–with
tethers–for both the first and second row, and a
separate similar system for the third row.

Escalade's cabin quietness sets
the stage for an extraordinary and unexpected
multi-media entertainment experience. A standard
Bose® 5.1 Discrete Surround Sound System uses six
distinct channels to provide concert quality sound
that replicates the experience of a home theater
system. Pure sound without distortion makes
prolonged listening a pleasure.
Our engineers worked closely with Bose® to design
and configure the sound system, optimizing speaker
locations and tuning the system specifically for
Escalade's interior. The result is superb imaging
and spectral response, reproducing the power and
nuance of each instrument and voice and delivering
music with clarity, spaciousness and detail—for each
occupant of the vehicle!

The beautiful detailing of
Escalade's center console hardly hints at its inner
practicality. Under the dual opening console lid,
multilevel storage includes a smaller, contained
space for delicate items like sun glasses. Beneath
that a large, open compartment accommodates bulkier
items and also contains one the vehicle's four
12-volt power sources. The lockable glove box has
been increased in size by 20 percent and is artfully
damped for quiet opening and closing.

For your convenience, standard
remote start has a range of almost 200 feet. The
system starts the engine and sets the climate
controls to the right outputs. On a chilly morning,
for example, it will turn the heat and defroster on,
even if the controls had last been set to vent or
cool.
