2007 Impala Safety Features

: ABS; The antilock brake system (ABS) is a crash avoidance feature that helps prevent wheel lockup during braking in most slippery road conditions. It's standard on 2LT, 3LT, LTZ and SS and available on LS and 1LT.

Driver Information Center (DIC)

This standard feature helps keep you up to date on various functions of your Impala. Located inside the speedometer, it includes an Oil-Life Monitor and conveys trip information and calculations. You’ll also get personalized settings such as door-lock functionality, Remote Keyless Entry preferences and remote start disablement (when equipped). Readouts are available in three languages — English, Spanish and French.

: Side-Impact Air Bags; Head curtain side-impact air bags are designed to help reduce the risk of head injuries to front-seat occupants on the near side of certain side-impact collisions. They’re standard on every Impala.(1)

: Traction Control; To enhance traction and help keep you going, this feature uses the ABS sensors to automatically detect and act to reduce wheel slip. It’s included and only available with ABS.

: Passenger Sensing System; Standard on every Impala, the Passenger Sensing System(1) automatically switches the right-front passenger air bag on or off based on the passenger's weight and the type of pressure on the seat. A lighted indicator is located on the instrument panel.

: OnStar; Available on every Impala, OnStar(2) with a one-year Safe & Sound Plan provides you with 24-hour access to helpful Advisors who can assist in a variety of situations..

Vehicle Diagnostics checks some of your vehicle's key systems, such as your engine, air bags and antilock brakes, while you drive. You'll receive an automatic email report once a month that includes your current mileage, remaining oil life, maintenance alerts and more.

And new Turn-by-Turn Navigation(3), included with the available Directions & Connections Plan, gives you simple, step-by-step voice-guided instructions on how to get to your next destination. Push the OnStar button, and you'll never have to stop and ask for directions.

With Advanced Automatic Crash Notification (AACN), an OnStar Advisor will attempt to contact you, inquiring whether or not you need assistance. If you're unable to answer, the Advisor will contact a nearby emergency services provider who will dispatch help to your determined location.

Exhaust Tips: Available stainless-steel exhaust tips are designed to fit over the tailpipe section of the existing exhaust tips for a sporty appearance. The steel exhaust tip is designed to help resist rust or corrosion. Available for 3.9L engine only.


Custom-Molded Splash Guards: Available molded splash guards fit directly behind the wheels to help provide protection from tire splash, mud and road debris. The splash guards are designed for Impala.


Side-Window Deflectors: Custom-molded to fit Impala, available side-window deflectors let fresh air in and help keep rain, snow and sleet out. They also help reduce wind noise and sunlight glare.


All-Season Floor Mats: Available premium, vinyl floor mats provide an exact fit to the floor of Impala. The mats help protect the carpeting from mud, snow and debris.
