- The antilock
brake system (ABS) is a crash avoidance feature that
helps prevent wheel lockup during braking in most
slippery road conditions. It’s standard on Malibu
LTZ and SS and on every Maxx model.

Driver Information Center (DIC)
- This standard
feature helps keep you up to date on various
functions of your Malibu. Displayed through the
radio, it includes an Oil-Life Monitor and conveys
trip information and calculations. You’ll also get
personalized settings such as door-lock
functionality, Remote Keyless Entry preferences and
remote start disablement (when equipped). Readouts
are available in four languages — English, Spanish,
German and French.

Side-Impact Air Bags
- Head-curtain
side-impact air bags are designed to help reduce the
risk of head injuries to front-seat and rear-seat
outboard occupants on the near side of certain
side-impact collisions. They're standard on every
Malibu.(1)

Passenger Sensing System
- Standard on
every Malibu, the Passenger Sensing System(1)
automatically switches the right-front passenger air
bag on or off based on the passenger’s weight and
the type of pressure on the seat. A lighted
indicator is located on the instrument panel.

Malibu LTZ models, OnStar(2) with a one-year Safe &
Sound Plan provides you with 24-hour access to
helpful Advisors who can assist in a variety of
situations.
Vehicle Diagnostics checks some of your vehicle's
key systems, such as your engine, air bags and
antilock brakes, while you drive. You'll receive an
automatic email report that includes your current
mileage, remaining oil life, maintenance alerts and
more.
And new Turn-by-Turn Navigation, included with the
available Directions & Connections Plan, gives you
simple, step-by-step voice-guided instructions on
how to get to your next destination. Push the OnStar
button, and you'll never have to stop and ask for
directions.
With Advanced Automatic Crash Notification (AACN),
an OnStar Advisor will attempt to contact you,
inquiring whether or not you need assistance. If
you're unable to answer, the Advisor will contact a
nearby emergency services provider who will dispatch
help to your determined location.
